solluxroute bigger update! yaaay

do people actually enjoy reading these devlogs! i like writing them! it makes me feel !

anyway. did a writing sprint with a friend last night, so as a result yall get solluxroute content! remember lesbians because i do. i remember lesbians

since the last update i released a new chapter of my fic A Bed of Roses! this fic was my first ever homestuck longform project, and it really inspired a lot of what i do today. in fact, rose's route contains an extended reference to it!!!! (yes, that IS direct quotes from chapter 2 in that one section.) 

beta roxy's route also takes a lot of inspiration from chapter 21 of abor, so if you liked it, you'll love my fic. check it out!

i don't just get inspiration from my own fics! did you know most of the achievements in the game are named after fanfics i love a lot?

•  Refuge in Oblivion by adjourned 
  • incredibly good fic focusing on the gameover versions of the beta kids navigating a strange fusion version of earth. contains some insanely good usage of sburb mechanics that i blatantly repeatedly ripped off for PQR. read part 2 first -- it's a prequel. part 1 is davekat :)
• You, Some Kids, and the End of the World by laughablyunimportant
  
  • fic centered in the doomed timeline from the perspective of dave's babysitter, who accidentally got warped into the game with them. a must-read. had permanent effects on my psyche. makes me cry literally every time
• A Pacific Girl in America by purplebard
  
  • fic set in an au where a. claire and beta roxy decide to follow up on this whole "jake fucked off to an island" thing. they discover jade, and a. claire adopts her. ft joey claire as an older sister who really, really wants to understand but can't. also it's jaderose. this fic is why there is hiveswap stuff in the game at all
• Karkat Goes To A Convention (+ [S] It was the ideas it inspired.) by cole swift-kick
• this mspfa is why i am in the fandom at all. it is SO fucking good. literally a must-read. none of this would exist without kgtac. 
• seriously i cannot recommend it enough

• bonus rec/reference: Mr. Tambourine Man by odditycollector
  • i blame my aradia fixation on the bonus content in one flash in this comic. it just. it . augh. it's the best-written aradia EVER and she ISNT EVEN THE FOCUS. yallllllllll
  • the password for prealpha versions of PQR was "IAMNOTTYPINGTHEPASSWORD", which is the password to aradia's laptop.
  • i am mentally ill about this fucking fic. it's maybe one of the greatest fanworks of all time in anything

AND FINALLY. the achievement for juneroute, "the vanishing spell," is based on The Disappearing Act, written by Hydro-City-Zone! hydro was the one who made juneroute -- did all the writing, all the beautiful art, and more. 

what's that? you didn't KNOW there was a completed juneroute in the game hidden through some secrets?
